Duties expected from the ESR are:

• perform original research under the supervision of an academic/industrial advisor in the area of laser structuring/patterning for specific surface functionalization applications
  

• participate in the activities of the LASER4FUN programme: attending training workshops, collaborating with network partners, and undertaking periodic secondment placements at LASER4FUN partner organizations
  

• produce written outputs as required during their PhD studies and also to contribute to engagement and dissemination activities of the LASER4FUN programme
  

• present regular progress reports within the requirements laid down by AGI and by the LASER4FUN programme.
